KinderTowne Child Care Center provides child care services to children 6 weeks through five years of age. We strive to, cultivate creativity in all developmental aspects of growth, build self esteem, develop an awareness of the universe, enrich receptive and expressive language, present opportunities to open the mind and heart of each child to his or her self worth and that of others, and strengthen appropriate muscular development.

Our Programs
The Program at KinderTowne Child Care Center aims to enhance each child's growth and development through an environment that is emotionally secure, as well as educationally challenging.

KinderTowne provides quality, affordable childcare and support services to families whose children are enrolled.  The center is staffed by early childhood specialists who share the backrounds of the families.  Acting as role models, they will provide education, as well as nutritional, physical and emotional support for the children and their parents or guardians.

The age breakdown is as follows:
Infants (6 weeks - 18 months)
Toddler I (18 months - 36 months)
Toddler II (24 months - 36 months)
Pre-School I (3 year olds)
Pre-School II (4 and 5 year olds)

Infants
At the Infant level, development is provided for and supported through appropriate activities. They:

  • are placed on carpeted areas or in playpens to allow them freedom of movement.

  • are held, spoken to, played with, fed, and nurtured, supporting their social and emotional development

  • have toys that stimulate the senses and give them opportunities to reach, touch, and explore their immediate environment

  • Toddlers and Pre-School

At the Toddler and Pre-School levels, the children's needs are appropriately met through:
  • equipment and materials that allow for exploration and growth in the areas of gross and fine motor developement.

  • social, cognitive, emotional, and physical activities that are age-appropriate, enabling children to develope positive self-images as they master more sophisticated education skils, such as math and language activities.

  • KinderTowne is intergenerational in nature. Elders are invited to participate in projects, circle time, free play, and other activites. Infants and Toddlers will benefit from another generation when they are at the center.
